GT Fishing in Rarotonga
Fishing for Giant Trevally or (GT) is explosive! Top water plugs with treble hooks and cupped face is used to lure the GT’s to the surface.
The sound and commotion caused by the plug attracts GT’s from great distances. Without warning, the GT surge from the depths to devour the plugs. Once the fight is on, you will have to keep the pressure on the fish in order to keep them from diving into holes or shacking the barbless hooks.
This type of fishing takes work, and will require anglers to have the strength and endurance to cast repeatedly.
